Based on a suggestion from Chris Andersen, I'm going to query some of America's leading right-wing voices to see whether they will state unequivocally whether they are or aren't on the take from the Bush administration (Armstrong Williams says that there are others). The question I'm asking:

Have you, at any time, taken money from the Bush administration in exchange for promotion of the administration's policies?

I encourage you to contact them as well and post here if you get a response from them.
